20 is purgatory, no longer a teen and just a step away from adulthood. It’s teenage angst without adult ways of dealing it and adult responsibilities without adult levels of respect. And while 20 is very specific, I think that all of us can relate to the confusion of being stuck in between. 20 for me has been defined by the uncertainty of a pandemic and feeling like my first year of my adult life has been lost to covid isolation and despair. To put it simply, this series is an eclectic portrait of me and those surrounding me in the midst of a global pandemic.
